Nepal

On my first visit to Nepal, I was shocked at the amount of people with disabilities on the streets of Katmandu.
I vowed to return with whatever help I could.
Following my experiences with Andy and my first trek, the media welcomed us and printed articles appealing for help.
We were guests on TV, also having many radio interviews. The response was terrific and nine months later I headed back to Nepal with a group of people with disabilities. We had several donated wheelchairs to take but could not afford the mailing costs to get them there. The answer was simple; the visually impaired and hard of hearing would enter the country in wheelchairs, leave them there and return with all walking impairments magically restored. The Nepalese customs never did question the 'miracles' that abounded in their country!
