Welcome to Kay's site!
Welcome and thank you for surfing on in.
I hope you enjoy your stay as I open up several aspects of my life with
you.
I am a forty something year old lady,
I have two grown up children who have fledged the nest, Christian
(25) and Matthew
(17).
I have been known to do some serious collecting of ephemora
in my time. I have a real liking for monks
in the form of china, pottery or prints/paintings. Why? I think it is
the very correct exterior whilst I imagine them to be secretly very
naughty! I collected motorbikes
and sidecars for my shelves and many other unusual items!
Sadly, I have lost all my collections now - but they once played a big
part in my life once so deserve a place on here.
My musical tastes are wide and varied. My Dad
even gave me a love of Welsh male voice choirs! Other loves are Pink
Floyd, Dire Straits, Louis Armstrong, the Chieftains, Gilbert and Sullivan,
Dido, Gilbert O Sullivan, Billie Halliday, Ravi Shankar, Eric Clapton,
BB King, John Lee Hooker..... you get the idea!
I was told I have Multiple Sclerosis in the early nineties, although
I was diagnosed 15 years previously by the medical profession. Since
my diagnosis, I have wanted to travel the world! Pictures of my travels
in India,
Nepal and
Africa
are here. I hope to add pictures of my recent work in Iraq and soon
to to be Iran too following the devastating earthquake.
I travel extensively and when not in good old blighty (which is very
rare these days) I can be found working for charities in third world
orphanages and schools
opening my eyes to the REAL world. The world where materialism is an
unknown word, where a smile and a hug means more than a bank balance.
I have lost everything I own in the past two years - my home and all
my possessions, being left with just a suitcase. Apart from my sons,
one thing that has always remained constant throughout these dark times
has been my friends. I thank them with all my heart for their love and
support, who says you can't choose your family?
Thankyou's also have to go to Belinda who has built these pages for
me. As telephones and cyber-cafes are a rarity in my locale, it has
not been easy for me to contact her so she can assess my requirements!
I hope these pages give you an insight into my life, if you have read
this far give yourself a pat on the back.
Kay
